The local cuisine and the traditional local products are an integral part of Lefkada’s cultural heritage. Thyme honey from Dragano and Athani, “pasteli” (sesame and honey bar) and “mantolato” (torrone), “soumada” (almond soft drink), “rosali”, mint and rose liqueurs, the traditional oil-pie, olive-oil rusks, oil from perennial olive trees, lentils from Eglouvi, salami and sausages, caviar from the lagoon, white and red wine, are some of the local products worth tasting.
